Women Who Run

Classes

We offer a variety of classes and workshops.  We are back in person for some limited classes after the lifting of the COVID-19 lockdown.  COVID-19 protocols are followed for all in-person classes.  Virtual classes are available too.  We offer women-centric self-defense classes as well as workshops on domestic violence, dating abuse, situational awareness, and healthy relationships and healthy communities.  Connect with like-minded women as we work to build a safer community.

Fitness Fridays

On Friday, October 1st at 7 pm, we are having a special edition of our Fitness Fridays Women's Self-Defense Class at Quick Fitness Gym. Brampton City Councillor Rowena Santos will be in the house helping us demonstrate some self-defense moves!

Cupid's Sting was started by Criminologist Dr. Laurie Samuel in 2015 after seeing an escalation in violence against women, often at the hands of a significant other.  Gruesome stories of women being set on fire by their husbands or boyfriends shooting the mother of their children was too much to take and she could no longer stand by.  She started Cupid's Sting as a proactive measure and provides workshops on dating abuse, interpersonal violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, street harassment, and facilitates women's self-defense classes.

Cupid's Sting Non-Profit operates in the US, Canada, and the Caribbean.
